Not all LED’s are created equal. For The Well, we wanted a medical grade LED. In simple terms, we wanted one that the plastic surgeons and skin surgeons use to help skin heal after operations, burns etc. The most powerful and the most effective.
Whilst many LEDs offer the same colour light at the same wavelength, they do vary in how strongly they emit the light. The MediLux is Australia’s most powerful Medical Grade LED. It is more effective and the LEDs themselves are more direct. More power equals the same result, but for less time under the machine. We don’t propose to cut the treatment times though. It just means that 20mins under this machine would be equal to 30-40mins under a less powerful machine at most of the clinics in our area.

HOW IT WORKS
How do Medical Grade LED Treatments work?
LED treatments with MediLUX utilise 1,500 powerful light emitting diodes ranging from blue to green, yellow, red and near-infrared. Each light wavelength targets different specific skin concerns, and treatment is commonly used to address acne congestion, facial redness, pigmentation, uneven tone, neck lines, wrinkles and signs of ageing.
During an LED treatment, expect a relaxing experience as specific wavelengths of light are applied to your skin. You may feel a gentle warmth. There’s no downtime, and results like improved skin tone, reduced wrinkles, and a radiant complexion become noticeable over subsequent sessions.
Before an LED skin treatment, ensure your face is clean and free of makeup. After, use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser. Apply sunscreen to protect the treated skin. Minimal downtime means you can resume regular skincare routines immediately.
